One of the important factors in the emergence and increase of creativity of children is the educational environment. The present research is practical and its research method is survey-exploratory with a descriptive method. In this research, in order to understand the needs and expectations of children from the educational open space, drawing, observation and semi-structured interviews were used for children to obtain the necessary information about the children's preferred open space. The population of interest is 3-6 year old children in kindergartens and preschools in Tehran and the sample size is 25 boys and 35 girls who were selected by simple random method. Then, all the information in the children's drawings were classified according to the child's gender, according to the categories that corresponded to the objectives of the literature, and finally, after the interpretation and qualitative analysis of the pictures, with the help of 5 teachers A child with a history of more than 15 years and a master's degree/doctorate in psychology/educational sciences, using the Delphi method, the results were summarized. The findings showed similarities and especially differences for girls and boys, and as a result, it is suggested for boys aged 3-6 in the yard, grassy fields, tall trees and fragrant plants, in addition to predicting a place to display the period. There must be four-legged animals. Also, the design of the passageway with pedestrian markings and space for group ball games for boys should be considered. It is suggested that for 3-6 year old girls, it is possible to plant shrubs and colorful plants in the yard and consider a place for a chicken/rabbit/sheep cage. The presence of shaded and semi-open spaces with decorations is strongly recommended for girls, and it is suggested that their play equipment be colorful with decorations.
